Event Description
Start a new tradition on Thanksgiving weekend by kicking things up a notch and join us for the 2nd Annual Mangled Off-Road Duathlon and Desert Turkey Trot.
The event will follow the traditional flow with a run, bike, run format. Don’t want to complete the entire race by yourself? Not a problem, grab a friend or two and make a relay or just sign up for the run only or the bike only. There is something for everyone. There isn’t a better time of year to be out in the Arizona desert.
Never done a duathlon before. Don’t panic. This is a great place to start and to try something a little different. Most important thing is to have fun.

What the heck is an Off-Road Duathlon?
An off-road duathlon is a competition that is composed of trail running and mountain biking. The usual format for a duathlon is run-bike-run, meaning you start with a run, then transition to the bike, then transition back to running again. Your time starts when you start the race and finishes when you cross the finish line. This means that the time it takes you to switch from running to cycling and back again is part of your race time.
